Welcome to another Tattooed Mama and Papa interview! lets meet this weeks Tattooed Mama.........................
I am a
mum of five, wife to one, run two small businesses & a trustee for a
national charity. I have never had a normal 9-5 job, I have been a dancer, a
chef and am now self-employed. I run a small event company & work free
lance for a not for profit company helping vulnerable people get back into
work.
Two of my
children have additional needs, my son has Autism and my daughter has
Achondroplasia a form of restricted growth.
I love
Pink Floyd & Harry Potter.
My
blog/insta is called 5currantbuns because my daughter was always singing it in
the car when I was pregnant with no.5.
How many tattoos do you have?
Two. One
on my wrist and one on my hip.
What was the first tattoo you got and why did you have it done ?
I got
them both done on the same day, on a weekend back in February 2011.
I have 3
small stars on the inside of my right wrist and my (now) husbands signature on
my left hip.
If you’ve got more than one tattoo which is your favourite and why?
I love
them both equally...maybe when I add to them that will change.
How do others react to your tattoos?
I once
had a girl from my daughters class start licking my wrist, when I asked what
she was doing she told me the pen wouldn’t come off haha!
I haven’t
had a negative reaction yet, they are quite small and hidden.
No not at
all. They symbolise a turning point in my life.
Are you planning on getting anymore tattoos, if yes what are you planning and why?
Oh where
do I start!
I am
having two larger stars, one on the back of each ankle/calf. These are two
represent myself & my husband. I am also having Loki in Nordic on my rib
cage, just waiting till I’ve stopped breastfeeding.
I would
like a few more but have decided on what yet.
I
remember the first time I saw my husband sign something, my first thought was
what a beautiful tattoo it would make. We weren’t even together at that point.
A few
months later he went away for a weekend and I went with a friend to get it
done.
I also
added the three stars to my wrist to represent my children from my ex partner.
It was a messy and violent breakup which we had come through together...they
were my stars in a dark place in my life. I have never added their new siblings
to the ‘ink’ as it was specific to that moment in my life.
Thanks to Charlotte for sharing her tattoos with us! I absolutely lover her star tattoos. Charlotte blogs over on 5currantbuns and you can follow her over on Instagram.
